Tuhon Apolo Ladra has spent many years organizing a way for practitioners to know, understand, and apply the iKali – Art of Blade Program so they can share it and uplift Filipino martial arts.

Master Ace Ramirez has been training and teaching for the past 42 years and considers himself a student first and foremost.
Master Ace began training in Tae Kwon Do, which he is achieved his 5th Degree Rank. He was mentored by Former World Champion Sensei Erik Paulson in his Combat Submission Wrestling system. Sensei Erik awarded him Coach Level 3 rank in CSW. Mr. Ramirez became a backyard student of Punong Guro Amante P. Marinas, Sr. in Filipino Martial Arts (Arnis/Kali/Eskrima/Pananandata) where he holds an instructor rank.
Master Ramirez began his training in Muay Thai with Kru Vut Kamnark then began working with Fairtex Muay Thai in San Francisco, CA under the late Alex (F-14) Gong. He was then appointed as the Director for Fairtex USA and Coach Curriculum designer.
Master Ramirez was also later Certified as a Muay Thai Instructor under Master Toddy.
For the last several years, he is spreading iKali – the Indigenous Art of Blade from the Philippines directly under Tuhon Apolo Ladra.
Master Ace is the Head Instructor for Filipino Kali Academy in NJ has been publicly teach Filipino Martial Arts there since 1997. As an ambassador of FMA, he travels throughout to help share the art.
He is passionate about teaching and his goal is to provide elite instruction with modern approaches to martial training in a professional manner. He hopes to lead people to become champions within themselves and not just in the ring.
Ace Ramirez was the first Martial Artist featured on MTV. The cult favorite series called MTV’s “Made” is where he was exposed to the public helping a young girl using martial arts as a platform to improve her self confidence from bullying.

Guro Kris has spent 33 years training in the Martial Arts. She has a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do as well as a KRU in Muay Thai.
She has trained in Filipino Martial Arts for 12 years and is teaches full time at Filipino Kali Academy in NJ (FKA Martial Arts NJ).
She also travels teaching seminars and is a Team Leader in the iKALI Instructor Development Program (IDP) assisting Tuhon Apolo Ladra with promoting the iKALI – Art of Blade curriculum and the ASTIG Women’s Self Defense Program.

Guro Michael Pak is a seasoned martial artist in Tae Kwon Do and iKali. As a master in taekwondo and a Guro in iKali (Filipino Martial Arts), he has dedicated himself to honing his skills and sharing his knowledge with others.
Guro Pak is passionate about helping others unlock their potential and achieve their goals through disciplined practice and dedication.
